Batteries Photographic Print

Two batteries stand alone in the shadows. A “Made in Hong Kong”, Flying Bomb, D-cell, and an “American made” Ray-O-Vak penlight battery. Both were flashlight batteries and call to mind images of hiding in the summer darkness and thrill of being tagged “it”.  Why was it called the flying bomb?

These come from a different time. Things have changed since then.
